Coming up soon on November 4 is the last large organized ride that we send a contingent of tandems to each year, the Cider Ride organized by the Washington Area Bicyclists Association. This ride has a 30- and 60-mile option and takes place mostly on trails in DC and PG County. As with all WABA rides, captains can ride for free if the stoker registers at full price, which for this ride is $75 for the 30-mile option or $85 for the 60-mile option. (Once registered, the two riders can decide how they’d like to split the registration fee.) You can read more info about the ride here:

If you’re interested in participating in the Cider Ride as a captain or stoker, please email mwaba.inc this week and we’ll work on getting you a partner.

After the Cider Ride, join other MWABA members at our Fall social! will be having a party at the home of our treasurer, Kurt Sloop, from 4-8 PM. Kurt lives at 916 Irving St. NE, Washington, DC 20017, just four blocks south of the Brookland metro station on the red line. If you’d like to eat, drink, and be merry on November 4, please email mwaba.inc so we know how many people to expect. Costumes aren’t required, but they are certainly encouraged!

Thanks, and see you out there!
