Our next hike will take place on Sunday, October 8. This will be an all-day excursion to Harper’s Ferry, West Virginia, where we will explore the Maryland Heights trail. Harper’s Ferry is approximately a 1.5 hour drive from DC, so we will likely get an early start around 8am or 9am(meet-up location and other logistics details to follow). This is a challenging hike spanning roughly 6-8 miles, including the walk to and from the trail. If participants are interested, we can also consider walking around Harper’s Ferry and grabbing food afterwards. Fingers crossed we’ll have a beautiful fall day, and maybe even catch a glimpse of some fall colors. If you would like to join the hike as a volunteer or hiker, please sign up using the link below by no later than 11:59pm on Thursday, October 5. We are also in need of volunteer drivers so that as many people as possible can participate. If you are available to drive, please email Qudsiya directly at qnaqui. MWABA will reimburse all drivers for parking costs. We can’t wait to see you all there!

White Cane Day Beep Kickball EventJoin us on Sunday, October 15 to celebrate White Cane Day and play some Beep Kickball! We will be at the P Street Beach Field from 2:00-4:30. The entrance to the field is at 23rd and O Street NW. DuPont Circle is the closest Metro station. Drinks and white cane snacks will be provided.
