There will be no Goalball practice again this week. Several of our members will be competing at the 2023 USABA National Goalball Championships in Fort Wayne, Indiana starting at noon on Friday. Tunin to the livestream to cheer them on!

Our next MWABA hike will take place on Sunday, October 8. This will be an all-day excursion to Harper’s Ferry, West Virginia, where we will explore the Maryland Heights trail. Harper’s Ferry is approximately a 1.5 hour drive from DC, so we will likely get an early start around 8am or 9am(meet-up location and other logistics details to follow). This is a challenging hike spanning roughly 6-8 miles, including the walk to and from the trail. If participants are interested, we can also consider walking around Harper’s Ferry and grabbing food afterwards. Fingers crossed we’ll have a beautiful fall day, and maybe even catch a glimpse of some fall colors. If you would like to join the hike as a volunteer or hiker, please sign up using the link below by no later than 11:59pm on Thursday, October 5. We are also in need of volunteer drivers so that as many people as possible can participate. If you are available to drive, please email Qudsiya directly at qnaqui. MWABA will reimburse all drivers for parking costs. We can’t wait to see you all there!
