We have recently received a couple more donated tandem bikes, and we are looking for one or two MWABA members who would be interested in keeping a bike at their home, which would allow you to ride whenever you and a riding partner are available. If you are interested and have the space to store a tandem, please reply to mwaba.inc, and we’ll be in touch!
Final call, it’s time to chill out with some nice hot chili! Now is the time to sign up for the MWABA fall fundraiser, a chili cook-off, and end-of-tandem season party, to be held on Saturday, November 16 from 2 PM-6 PM at the home of George Marriott and his wife Sarah, 2029 Glen Ross Rd, Silver Spring, MD 20910. The chili tasting is $15 a person
Donate – Metro Washington Association of Blind Athletes, which goes toward supporting MWABA’s programs and tandem bike maintenance. Everyone is welcome to come and socialize without paying. Let us know if you’re bringing chili, toppings, sides, drinks, or dessert. Sides and toppings will be included with chili, and you are also welcome to have desserts and drinks while you spend the afternoon socializing with your new and old MWABA friends!
George and Sarah welcome people to bring their guide dogs and Sarah may be willing to help take people from the Forest Glen Metro (with coordination ahead of time). Free parking is available on George and Sarah’s street for people who can drive. For questions related to location logistics, contact George at 910 232 6468.
