MWABA newsletter: Autumn is here! Tandem Rides, Hiking, Goalball, Tabling,and Baseball, Oh My!

Hello MWABA,

As the smell of pumpkin spice begins to permeate the air, some of our favorite MWABA activities are ramping back up!

Saturday Goalball is back!
If you’ve never tried it, or you haven’t played since you were a kid, now is the time to Join us. Fall is for fundamentals ! We will be teaching the basics every weekend. So, come out to the Columbia Heights Community Center, 1480 Girard St NW on September 21, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, and learn how to play! Our next MWABA hike will take place on Sunday, September 22 starting at 9:00 AM. We’ll be meeting up at our familiar stomping grounds at Peirce Mill, located at 2401 Tilden St. NW for a local hiking experience. Baseball Outing:
Mary Flood is getting a group of MWABA members and wannabes together to go to a Nationals game. They are playing the KC Royals on Tuesday, September 24 at 6:45 PM. You can go on the MLB tickets website and click on Tuesday Deals and Steals. Then scroll to the game on the 24th and decide how many you want. Mary is sitting in Section 236. If you have any questions, email Mary at camflood1@cox.net.

Save the date, October 13, for our October hike, where we’ll travel to Calvert Cliffs State Park in Lusby. We’ll enjoy the beautiful trails steps from the Chesapeake Bay and also do some fossil hunting near the beach! It’ll be a fun tactile experience. We’ll send out more info after our hike on September 22.
