Are you a tandem cyclist and interested in sporting some cool swag? MWABA is ordering short-sleeved bike jerseys, please sign up here:
https://forms.gle/ZEm8aFdrjxh4Br859 by May 26th if you’d like to place an order. Jerseys cost $40 for dues-paying members and captains who have volunteered at least once in 2024. Otherwise, the cost for a jersey is $50. We’ll receive the jerseys in August, and you can pay MWABA when you receive your jersey. If you can’t pick up your jersey from a MWABA board member or at an event, you’ll need to pay for shipping. The jerseys are red/yellow/orange with blue accents, and have the MWABA logo on the front, the D.C. flag with the statement: "Join the Tandemonium at gomwaba.org!" on the back, and tandems on the back and sleeves. We’re ordering club-cut jerseys from Bike Rags, and here’s the size chart:

This past weekend, MWABA hosted a Youth Adapted Sports Day at the Woody Ward Recreation Center in DC. Six students from surrounding DC and Maryland schools came out to participate in a fun-filled day of Goalball, Tandem Cycling, and Beep Kickball. The kids were able to learn Goalball from players on the DC men’s and women’s teams in the morning. The afternoon rain didn’t scare off our wonderful tandem captains, and the kids didn’t mind getting a little wet as they loved the experience of getting to ride the park trails. The day concluded with a fun game of Beep Kickball with parents and volunteers getting in on the action. MWABA would like to thank our awesome participants, their parents, and our dedicated members and volunteers who helped make this such a great event. Below is a group photo of our youth participants, parents, and a few of our volunteers from the Goalball portion of the event.

See you out there!
