Only 20 days left in 2023! Finish it off right by coming out to the last activities of the year.
Join us for Goalball this Saturday, December 16. Practice will take place from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Columbia Heights Community Center, located at 1480 Girard St. NW.
We need more captains for our tandem bike ride on Sunday evening, Dec. 17! We’re planning on joining WABITS (Washington Area Bicyclist In Tandem Society) on a ride they are doing to see holiday lights and monuments, so we would meet at Eastern Market at about 5:15 and then go join up with WABITS at Union Station by 6. The plan includes seeing the Capitol tree, the National tree and Menorah on the Ellipse, the White House, and various monuments. Please reply to mwaba.inc ASAP and we’ll confirm riding pairs by Thursday or Friday.
It’s time to renew your membership! Call for 2024 annual dues. Dues are $25.00 and cover your membership until December 31, 2024.
Annual dues help support all of the activities and events that we organize throughout the year: goalball, tandem cycling, yoga, kayaking, hiking, beep kickball, etc. as well as social gatherings and community outreach efforts. We plan to bring you even more exciting opportunities in the coming year!
Dues also cover your ability to request financial assistance for participation in other sporting activities, and the right to vote on and run for MWABA board positions.
Dues can be paid via Venmo, user name: @MWABADC or Paypal, user name: treasurer
If you are unable to pay your annual membership dues, please contact mwaba.inc@gmail.com and we will work with you on a case by case basis.
Dues are requested to be paid by January 31, 2024.
MWABA will have elections for multiple openings on the Board of Directors for 2024. Board member terms last for three years. We request interested individuals to please review the board member qualifications and descriptions that are attached to this email.
